earlyCASE ®
is offered in two version – the Basic [FREE] version and a Professional version
at a small flat charge of $198 regardless of the amount of data you analyze. For many people the Basic [FREE] version is
enough of a quick look at what they have to begin making decisions, or perhaps
just to memorialize what they received from someone (friend or foe).
The
Basic [FREE] version while it does not have some of the advanced features found
in the professional version it is packed full of features and valuable
information and reports. In many ways
the label “Basic” doesn’t even come close to doing justice to the powerful
knowledge you get from it. For
instance, PST analysis, including
emails, and attachments to emails are all part of the “Basic” version. Now imagine the feature set on steroids and
you have the Professional version of earlyCASE ® . Duplicate Document Detection and Container
processing are the PRIMARY reasons most people elect the Professional version
of earlyCASE ® .
GOOD PRACTICE: If you know that
there are containers (zip, arc, rar, lzh, etc) you should consider upgrading to
the Professional version to have visibility to the contents of the zip files
and extraction of the Metadata from those documents. The Basic version treats the container as 1
document and does not detail out what is in these types of containers. If you need visibility to the # of
duplicates you should use the Pro Version.
